Ongoing SEO engagement · Geographic migration

Rebuilding Boring Tees’ search presence after a move from Maryland to Florida.

Boring Tees moved its operating and production base from Maryland to Fort Lauderdale. ALCA is migrating the company’s local search footprint, correcting conflicting geographic signals and building an AEO/GEO foundation so Google and AI answer engines understand the new location, services and markets served.

We are working on it.

The local SEO migration and AEO/GEO optimization are underway. Verified results will be added once the new Fort Lauderdale positioning has a sufficient comparison period.

The challenge

Boring Tees moved its operating and production base from Maryland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, while much of its existing organic footprint had been built around Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia. That created a high-risk local SEO problem: the website, business entity, metadata, schema, location pages and internal links could send conflicting signals about where the company actually operates.

The useful DMV pages cannot simply be deleted. They can continue to represent markets Boring Tees serves, but they must stop describing Maryland as the company’s current base. At the same time, Fort Lauderdale and South Florida need a credible, distinct local architecture rather than a city-name swap.

The ALCA solution

ALCA is handling the migration in controlled phases: auditing every stale Maryland reference, centralizing Fort Lauderdale as the verified operating base, correcting structured data and metadata, preserving DMV pages as served-market assets where appropriate, and rebuilding the local landing-page hierarchy around South Florida.

In parallel, we are applying AEO and GEO — Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization. That work structures facts, service explanations, FAQs, entities and internal relationships so the site can be understood and cited by AI-assisted search experiences as well as traditional Google results. The engagement is active, so no after-period performance claim is being published yet.

Key modules & features

Geographic entity migration

One verified Fort Lauderdale identity across public copy, metadata, business data and structured data.

Technical SEO cleanup

Audit and correction of canonicals, titles, descriptions, sitemap discovery and conflicting geographic references.

Local landing architecture

Fort Lauderdale and South Florida pages built around real local demand while DMV pages become accurate served-market pages.

AEO/GEO content system

Answer-first service content, FAQs and explicit entity relationships designed for Google and AI answer engines.

Search measurement baseline

Google Search Console evidence retained as the before period; after metrics stay unpublished until comparable.

Privacy-aware analytics

Consent-aware Google Analytics supports future measurement without overstating early movement.

How it works

  1. 1Inventory Maryland, DMV and Fort Lauderdale signals across the site
  2. 2Correct the central business entity and remove contradictory location claims
  3. 3Preserve useful DMV pages as served-market content instead of deleting them
  4. 4Build distinct Fort Lauderdale and South Florida search entry points
  5. 5Measure the new footprint, then publish an after comparison only when the data is mature

Architecture & approach

The migration treats the business identity as one source of truth. Location copy, canonical metadata, structured data, sitemaps and internal links are aligned from that source, while AEO/GEO content makes the relationships between the company, services and served markets explicit for both crawlers and AI systems.
