Logistics Software for Savannah Freight, Warehouse & Distribution Operations

ALCA Software builds connected operational systems for logistics businesses in the Savannah market — replacing shipment data scattered across email and spreadsheets, manual dispatch, and customers calling for updates with software that shows the whole operation in real time.

Why teams work with ALCA Software

Built for operational reality

Dispatch, exceptions, documents and customer updates — designed around how freight actually moves, not an idealized flowchart.

Connects to your existing stack

ERP, accounting, CRM and warehouse tools stay in place; the system makes them share data automatically.

Real-time by default

Shipment status, warehouse activity and exceptions surface as they happen — not in next week’s report.

Full ownership, no lock-in

You own the source code and the data, on infrastructure you control, with direct access to the engineers.

When shipment data lives everywhere except a system

Savannah has grown into one of the busiest container gateways in the country, and the port pulls a dense ecosystem of freight, drayage, warehousing, distribution and import/export businesses around it. Volume in that ecosystem keeps rising — but inside many of those companies, the operation still runs on spreadsheets, inboxes and phone calls.

The daily symptoms are familiar to anyone running freight or warehouse operations:

Today — manual & disconnected

  • Shipment and order data scattered across email threads, spreadsheets, carrier portals and phone calls.
  • Dispatch and route coordination handled manually, one text message at a time.
  • Warehouse teams working without a live view of what’s inbound, in progress or slipping.
  • Customers calling repeatedly for status updates your team has to go look up.
  • BOLs, PODs and invoices keyed in by hand — twice.
  • Exceptions discovered when the customer complains, not when they happen.

One ALCA system

Your workflows, data and tools — connected and automated.

With your system — connected & automated

  • One unified system
  • Automated routing and follow-up
  • Live operational dashboard
  • Connected CRM and tools
  • Centralized customer data
  • Reports that build themselves

How ALCA Software helps

We build the connective layer your operation is missing: one system where shipments, orders, warehouse activity, documents and customer communication live together and update in real time. Dispatchers work from a live board instead of a spreadsheet. Exceptions trigger alerts the moment they happen. Customers check status in a portal instead of calling. Documents are read by software and filed against the right shipment automatically.

We don’t ask you to throw out your TMS, WMS, ERP or accounting system. We integrate with what you run today — through APIs, EDI-style data exchange, exports or direct database connections — and build the custom workflows, dashboards and portals those systems don’t provide. The result is an operation your team can see end to end, and customers who stop needing to call.

Systems, not templates

Logistics systems we build

Every active shipment, its stage and its owner on one live screen — across carriers, customers and lanes.

Assign, sequence and adjust loads and routes in one place, with drivers and warehouse teams seeing changes instantly.

Receiving, putaway, picking and cycle-count workflows with real-time visibility into what’s actually on the floor.

Self-service status, documents and history for your customers — ending the “any update?” phone calls.

Late pickups, stalled shipments, missing documents and inventory discrepancies flagged automatically, while there’s still time to act.

BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations and invoices extracted, matched to shipments and pushed into accounting automatically.

Your ERP, QuickBooks and CRM sharing shipment and billing data automatically instead of by re-keying.

Pickup, in-transit, delay and delivery updates sent by email or text without a human in the loop.

Operations we build for around the Savannah gateway

The Savannah logistics ecosystem spans far more than trucking. We design systems for the operators that keep freight moving:

Freight & drayage

Load boards, driver coordination, POD capture and automated customer updates for carriers and drayage operators moving port volume.

Warehousing & 3PL

Client-facing inventory portals, receiving and fulfillment workflows, and per-client billing that generates itself from activity.

Distribution & wholesale

Order-to-delivery pipelines connecting inventory, allocation, routing and invoicing without spreadsheet middlemen.

Import/export operations

Shipment milestone tracking, document workflows and exception alerts across the long chain from origin to final delivery.

Transportation support services

Scheduling, asset tracking, service records and customer reporting for the businesses that service fleets and freight infrastructure.

We connect the logistics stack you already run

Logistics operations accumulate systems — TMS, WMS, ERP, accounting, carrier portals. We make them act like one system, integrating with tools such as:

  • ERP systems
  • QuickBooks
  • Salesforce
  • HubSpot
  • Zoho
  • Microsoft 365
  • Google Workspace
  • Twilio
  • WhatsApp
  • Stripe
  • Existing databases
  • Legacy systems
  • Industry-specific TMS/WMS software

We reference these platforms conceptually as integration targets — ALCA is an independent software company, not an official partner or reseller of any of them.

How a logistics-software project works

Operational software for a running freight or warehouse business has to ship without disrupting it. Our process is built for that:

  1. 01

    Discovery

A conversation with zero jargon. We learn how your business runs, where time and money leak, and what a better system needs to do.

  2. 02

    Workflow mapping

We document how work actually moves through your company — orders, requests, approvals, handoffs — including the workarounds nobody wrote down.

  3. 03

    System design & prototype

You see and click a prototype of the system before we write production code, so scope, screens and priorities are agreed up front.

  4. 04

    Development

Progress every week, real demos and a direct line to the people building your software. No account-manager telephone game.

  5. 05

    Testing

We test with your team, on your real data and real edge cases, before anything replaces the process your business depends on.

  6. 06

    Launch

We roll out in phases, train your team and keep the old process available until the new system has proven itself.

  7. 07

    Improvement & support

After launch we monitor, maintain and keep iterating — your system grows with the operation instead of freezing on day one.

Freight visibility hub

A typical system for a drayage or freight operator: orders ingested from email and EDI-style feeds, a live dispatch board, driver status updates from mobile, automatic customer notifications at each milestone, and exception alerts when a load stalls.

3PL client portal & billing engine

A typical system for a warehouse operator: client-facing inventory and order visibility, receiving and fulfillment workflows on the floor, and per-client invoices generated automatically from recorded activity into QuickBooks.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to replace our TMS, WMS or ERP?

Almost never. We build around your existing systems — integrating through their APIs, exports or databases — and add the visibility, portals and automation they don’t provide. Replacement is a last resort, phased carefully if it’s ever justified.

Can customers track their shipments without calling us?

Yes. Customer portals and automated notifications are core modules: customers see live status, documents and history themselves, and the system pushes updates at each milestone. Most operators see status-call volume drop sharply.

Can you automate our BOL, POD and invoice handling?

Yes. We build document pipelines that read BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations and invoices, match them to the right shipment or order, and push clean data into your accounting or ERP system — removing double keying and the errors that come with it.

Does ALCA work with Savannah logistics companies remotely?

Yes. ALCA is based in the Miami / South Florida market and serves logistics and distribution businesses across the Southeast remotely — video working sessions, weekly demos, direct access to the engineers. Operational software work translates very well to that model.

How long does a first version take?

A focused first phase — for example, a live shipment dashboard with automated customer notifications — typically ships in 4–10 weeks. We phase the rollout so your operation keeps running throughout.

Who owns the system afterward?

You do. 100% of the source code and data are yours, hosted on infrastructure you control. No per-seat licensing, no lock-in — and ongoing support if you want us to keep improving it.
